A student-led non-profit organization to combat mental health stigma through literary works by providing teenagers a platform and community for self-expression.
- Led a team of 50+ students, guided the team with quarterly magazine edition releases that covers mental health topics ranging from mental illnesses to general stress
- The magazine viewership now reaches out to ~3,000 readers and 7+ chapters around the globe
- Has been recognized as a resource by St. Joseph Hospital and IUSD School districts around CA
- Organized mental health learning sessions with psychiatrists, NAMI, and psychology professionals, won excellence by the National Council of Teachers in English, won a $1000 grant to increase impact by the Irvine Public School Foundation
Bridging Horizons: Fusion - Founder and Project Director
A nonprofit that partners US-based teachers skilled in project-based learning with their counterparts in developing countries (e.g. India) who currently teach rote memorization methods.
- Connected with 4 schools in India to build project-based interactive curriculum to invoke powerful critical thinking skills in students
- Works with 30+ members and 10+ educators around the world in 7+ countries to bridge the gap between education systems
- Hosts daily online sessions with students and teachers for constructive discussions about effective teaching styles to benefit a variety of learners
Portola News Network - Special Segment Producer
A biweekly Portola High School broadcast that informs students about school and community events and entertains an audience of over 2,500 people with student features.
- PNN’s broadcast won best broadcast award in Orange County Film Festival in 2020 and 2022
- Created special segments to bring awareness to prevalent issues, ranging from topics such as the California Wildfires to the Asian hate movements
Stanford’s AllCove - Central Youth Advisor
An organization that designs mental health centers to provide free mental health support to youth.
- Designed the interior aesthetic for 6+ centers to develop a comfortable therapy environment for teens, serving 5000+ youth, presented the model to government councils, advocated for social and emotional learning
